Types Of Sentences 

Hello, friends welcome to our new blog as you know that this is the series of Grammar and it's Part-3 in which I'll teach you Types Of Sentences Based on the Meaning so without wasting any time let's start this lesson. 

Types of Sentences (Based on the meaning)

1. Assertive Sentences (साधारण वाक्य)
2. Interrogative sentences (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)
3. Imperative sentences (आदेशसूचक वाक्य)
4. Exclamatory sentences (विस्मयसूचक वाक्य)
5. Optative sentences (इच्छासूचक वाक्य)

Sentences based on meaning

1. Assertive or Declarative sentences (साधारण वाक्य) :

A sentence that makes the statement of a declaration is called Assertive Sentences; Like -To say, tell, inform.

(वह वाक्य जिसमे साधारण रूप में कोई बात या कथन कहा जाऐ उन्हें साधारण, या निश्चयात्मक वाक्य कहते हैं, जैसे: कहना, बताना, सूचित करना आदि।)

Example:-

  • Ram reads a book.
  • She goes to school.
➡️ Assertive Sentences (साधारण वाक्य) दो प्रकार के होते हैं:


(A) Affirmative Sentences:- Such Sentences in which we talk about facts, opinions, ideas, etc. It comes under the category of Affirmative Sentences.


(ऐसे
वाक्य जिसमें हम तथ्यों, विचारों और राय आदि के बारे में कहते हैं, उन्हें Affirmative या Positive Sentences कहते हैं।)

 Example:-
  • The earth moves around the sun.
  • He always speaks the truth.
  • She is writing a letter.
  • He has done her work.

(Note:- In  these sentences, we always get a positive message.)

(B) Negative Sentences:- Those sentences by which we get Negative Vibes are called Negative Sentences.


(जिन वाक्यों में नकारात्मक सूचना मिलती है, उन्हें Negative Sentences कहते हैं।)

Example:-
  • do not go to school.
  • She does not play here.
  • Leela does not sing a song.
  • Madhav did not attend his classes.
(Note:- Affirmative sentences के Negative Sentences में do not, does not, cannot, could not, never आदि शब्दों का प्रयोग किया जाता है.)



2. Interrogative Sentences (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य):-

Sentences which ask a question about something is called Interrogative sentences.

(वह वाक्य जो किसी चीज़ के बारे में लोगों से सवाल पूछता है, उसे Interrogative Sentence कहते हैं।)

(Note:- इन सब वाक्य के अंत में प्रश्न चिह्न(?) आता है।)

👉These
sentences are categorized into two parts:-

(A
) A Sentence starting with a helping verb that answers yes or no.

Some Helping Verbs:-
  • Do/Does/Did
  • Is/am/are.
  • Has/have
  • Will/shall
  • Can/could...etc. 
Structure of these sentence:-

(Helping Verb + Subject + Base form of the verb.)

Example:-
  • Shall we go?
  • Do you know?
  • Has he gone?
  • Would you like to do?

(B) A sentence starting with WH Family that answer in details:

WH FAMILY:-
  • What
  • Who
  • When
  • Where
  • Why
  • Which
  • How
 Example:-
  • How are you?
  • Who the hell are you?
  • Which one do you want?
  • Where are we going?


3. Imperative sentences (आदेशसूचक वाक्य):-

The sentences that gives instructions or advice, and express command, an order, a direction, or a request, etc. are called Imperative sentences.
 
(जिन वाक्यों से आदेश, विनय, निवेदन, सुझाव या प्रस्ताव दिया जाता है उन्हें Imperative sentences (आदेशसूचक वाक्य) कहते हैं।)


Example:-
  • Go to school.
  • Please, give me a cup of tea.
  • Go straight.
  • Have a nice day!
  • Save our soul.

 (Note:- इस प्रकार के वाक्यों में मुख्य क्रिया पहले प्रयोग की जाती है तथा You शब्द छिपा रेहता है।)



4. Exclamatory Sentences (विस्मयादिबोधक वाक्य):-

An exclamatory sentence is used to express a sudden emotion. It could be fear, anger, anxiety, admiration, excitement, etc.

(जिन वाक्यों से ह्रदय की गंभीरता, भावनाएं या उद्गार  प्रकट होता है उन्हें Exclamatory sentences (विस्मयसूचक वाक्य) कहते हैं।)

Example:-
  • Hey! Don’t touch my phone.
  • Alas! I could not be at her funeral.
  • Hush! Your father is sleeping. 
  • What a boring day!
(Note:- इस प्रकार के वाक्यो की पहचान यह है कि इन के अंत में या मध्य में विस्मयसूचक सूचक चिन्ह (!) का प्रयोग किया जाता है. विस्मयसूचक वाक्यों में एक, दो शब्द या बिना क्रिया के भी वाक्य बन जाता है.)


5. Optative sentences (इच्छासूचक वाक्य):-

The sentences which express a prayer, keen wish, curse, etc. are called an optative sentence. This kind of sentence generally starts with ‘may’ and ‘wish’. Sometimes, ‘may’ remains hidden.

(जो वाक्य एक प्रार्थना, उत्सुक, इच्छा, अभिशाप आदि को व्यक्त करते हैं, उन्हें एक वैकल्पिक वाक्य कहा जाता है। इस तरह का वाक्य आम तौर पर 'May' and 'Wish' से शूरु होते है। कभी-कभी, 'May' छिपा रहता है।)

Example:-
  • May the almighty help in this tragedy!
  • Wish you a very successful married life.
  • I wish you a happy journey together. 
  • May your team win the match! 

(Note:- इस प्रकार के वाक्यों की पहचान यह है कि इन के अंत में विस्मयसूचक चिन्ह (!) का प्रयोग किया जाता है. ऐसे वाक्यों में इच्छा, शुभकामना एवं ईश्वर से प्रार्थना व्यक्त की जाती है.)
